Today show hosts Al Roker and Savannah Guthrie react live on air to being named in the Daily Mail + Power List

Savannah Guthrie and Al Roker have shared their responses after they were named in DailyMail+ Power List rankings. Today show co-anchor Savannah, 53, was named the morning show style queen thanks to her 'professional, yet approachable' looks. Meanwhile, Al, topped the inaugural list, sweeping the board in every category for morning show hosts. The genial New Yorker, who has been with NBC since 1978, is seen as the most likable of the 15 main breakfast show hosts included in our exclusive polling, carried out by J.L. Partners. Al, 70, is also the most fun, truthful, knowledgeable, least biased, and the host that those polled most wanted to spend time with. Both broadcasters reacted to their honors live on Tuesday's episode of the Today show. Meteorologist Dylan Dreyer announced Savannah's accolade and told viewers: 'This morning DailyMail+ is releasing its first ever power list. And they just unveiled the ranking of top morning show hosts. Guess who made the list? 'Our very own Savannah Guthrie has been crowned the morning show style queen.' Referring to her co-star Jenna Bush Hager, mom-of-two Savannah joked: 'That's because I borrow all Jenna's clothes!' 'No, I borrow your clothes and stain them and put them back in your closet,' Jenna, 43, retorted. Expressing her gratitude, Savannah added: 'That's very lovely. Thank you, Daily Mail.' Revealing Al's title during the Third Hour of Today, Dylan said: 'DailyMail+ just put out their first ever power list of morning show hosts. 'Earlier we told you that Savannah Guthrie was crowned the morning show's style queen. Al Roker was also recognized. Mr. Roker was ranked most liked, most trusted and the morning host that Americans want to hang out with.' Although visibly delighted with the honor, Al joked: 'What is wrong with you people? What is your problem?' 'Everybody loves everything about you,' Dylan pointed out. Sharing his true feelings, Al admitted that the honor is 'very nice.' 'But the fact of the matter is nobody gets to something like this without working with really good people,' he added. 'So that allows you to do whatever somebody thinks is nice.' DailyMail+ unveiled its inaugural Power List this Tuesday, giving the definitive ranking of the most influential figures in American media. Based on exclusive polling, our Power List captures public sentiment around likability, trustworthiness, perceived bias and knowledge. Essentially, it tells you who Americans like and trust… and who they don't. In terms of overall shows, our list sees NBC's Today emerge as the resounding network winner. On top of Today veteran Roker's triumph, his NBC colleagues Jenna, Carson Daly, and Hoda Kotb — who stepped aside from the network earlier this year — all rank positively, too. Today insiders were unsurprised by the results, with a senior source telling the Daily Mail that network execs were quietly delighted by the findings.

Radio host forced to leave studio live on air after receiving tragic news

A popular radio host has been forced to leave her morning radio show on Wednesday after receiving 'tragic news'. Jade Robran, who hosts FIVEAA's Winter Breakfast show with Tom Rehn, was presenting her program before abruptly leaving the studio just before 7am. Tom then addressed her shock departure, informing listeners there had been a death in her family. 'Jade unfortunately has had to go home, there has been some unexpected and very tragic news, there's been a death in her family so we wish Jade all the very best,' he said. 'Hope you're okay, Jade, if you're driving home listening right now. Jade, we love you. We hope you're okay with the rest of the family. From A-list scandals and red carpet mishaps to exclusive pictures and viral moments, subscribe to the Daily Mail's new showbiz newsletter to stay in the loop. 'Hopefully she'll be back tomorrow. That's very, very sad news.' Tom continued presenting the show on his own until 9am. It comes after a Melbourne radio star surprised fans by announcing his shock departure. Jack Post, 37, who has made a name for himself on The Christian O'Connell Show on Gold FM, quit the program on in May in an emotional Instagram post. Jack shared a slew of snaps from his time on the show, including one of him playing a guitar in the studio with Christian O'Connell and another with his wife Bianca and son Gordon. Telling fans that it was one of the 'hardest decisions' he had ever had to make, the radio host revealed the reason why he was calling his time on the popular breakfast program. 'I love this show deeply, and it has given me so much. But there is something in my gut telling me it's time to close this chapter and write the next one,' he wrote in the caption. 'When I left radio with Hamish & Andy in 2017, I honestly didn't know what was next for me then — but I had an excitement and giddiness for the thrill of what it could be. He added: 'I'm so happy it turned out to be The Christian O'Connell Show. 'It's time to step away again, make space, and see what's next,' he shared. Jack said that he was grateful for the listeners who tuned in for the morning show over the years. 'Thank you to each and every listener who chooses this as their breakfast show. 'I love talking to you in the mornings, I love meeting you on the street — don't stop saying hello,' he wrote. The radio star then went on to thank his colleagues at the station, particularly Christian, who he said had been on of the 'most profound relationships of my life'.
